Mexico has been an important part of Arelion’s story for more than a decade. When the country’s telecommunications reforms opened the market in 2013, we saw the potential for Mexico to become a key digital gateway between North and Latin America. Arelion were among the early global carriers to invest in the market, and we’ve continued to expand our network as demand for connectivity has grown.

Today, AI infrastructure, cloud expansion and new data center investments are driving a new wave of growth across the region.

To help customers support these increasingly critical workloads, we’ve introduced enhanced protected connectivity services across key routes in Mexico. This latest investment builds on more than a decade of expanding and strengthening our network in one of Latin America’s most important digital infrastructure markets.

Connecting the markets driving Mexico’s digital growth

Monterrey, Querétaro and Mexico City have become key hubs for cloud, AI and data center investment. Our network corridor connecting these cities also extends into Texas through McAllen and Laredo, supporting growing traffic flows between Mexico and the United States.

Delivered across diverse network routes and backed by terabit-scale optical capacity, our protected connectivity services help customers build for growth while maintaining operational continuity.

Today, our network includes ten Points-of-Presence (PoPs) across Mexico’s major technology hubs, with direct connectivity to U.S. border markets including El Paso, Laredo, McAllen, Miami and San Diego.

Protected 400G EVPL for critical infrastructure

For organizations running AI environments, cloud platforms and other business-critical applications, downtime can quickly become costly.

Our protected 400G EVPL service provides private, high-capacity Ethernet connectivity for enterprises, hyperscalers, neocloud providers and wholesale customers operating across Latin America.

Dynamic prioritized routing across Arelion’s #1 ranked global backbone enables traffic to automatically move to alternate paths during network or fiber disruptions, helping maintain service continuity without manual intervention.

Customers can also use Multiple Services on One Port (MSOP) to combine EVPL, Cloud Connect and IP Transit services through a single connection, simplifying connectivity between AI data centers, GPU clusters and hybrid cloud environments.

Protected wavelengths for terabit-scale growth

Some infrastructure projects require even greater scale. Our protected Wavelength services provide dedicated optical connectivity at speeds of up to 400G per wavelength, enabling customers to move large volumes of data between data centers, cloud platforms and other strategic locations.

Multiple wavelengths can be combined to support terabit-scale requirements, providing the flexibility to adapt as infrastructure needs evolve.
